The aim of the study is to demonstrate intelligent zero-emissions vehicles utilizing new developments in hydrogen power systems and wireless technology for use in future transport applications. These demonstrations are proof of concept trials to show research ideas working in the real world or commercial environment and will allow us to develop and test the technologies further. DEarg (Design and Ergonomics Applied Research Group, Coventry University) is managing the user testing of the wireless technology systems installed in both the zero-emissions barge and a prototype zero-emissions vehicle. The study is in conjunction with the University of Birmingham and in partnership with Microcab, Tempus Computers, RDM Ltd and Birmingham City Council.
