IONS President Marilyn Schlitz speaks with Deepak Chopra about Worldview Literacy and other aspects of the science of consciousness, at the Sages & Scientists Symposium in early 2010.
The Worldview Literacy Project is an educational paradigm shift designed to illuminate the relationship between perception and experience and to cultivate health and wisdom.
The initial curriculum is currently being test piloted with high school students. The project believes this population has a remarkable capacity for leadership, and, when invited, an innate wisdom and passion that has the power to inspire social change and novel ways of interrelating that we can all learn from.
Using experiential exercises, tools for self-reflection and dialogue, innovative media, and multiple ways of knowing (including music, movement, and meditation) in a spirit of play and exploration, this curriculum empowers people of all ages to make conscious choices and to know that their participation in their environment always matters.
